London Dyslexia Centre

Welcome to the London Dyslexia Centre website

We provide tuition, assessments and individualised education programmes for dyslexic children and those of primary age requiring extra help with learning to read. We also work with children with Dyspraxia, Dyscalculia and ADD.

We are trained to use a variety of methods depending on the learning style of the individual. These include the popular method Phonographix from the US, Sounds-write and Units of Sound (the Dyslexia Institute's programme).

Children need to acquire good literacy skills. Early on they need to understand the alphabetic code and learn the skills to manipulate this which will enable them to read and write. Dyslexic children find these skills and knowledge difficult to acquire, but early intervention and effective teaching can have excellent results.

We provide a tailor-made programme of lessons to help children acquire literacy skills.
